- MiniApps brings you twenty five useful applications, all in one install.

- Alarm
- -----
- lets you set up to six alarms in a 24-hour period.
- Each can play the sound of a ringing telephone, one time, seven times,
- or continuously and display a customizable message when it goes off.
- You can choose color, position and save.
- You can also set quick alarm, configure it to go off in one
- to 99 minutes from current time.
- Double click Alarm and select Help from Menu for more help.

- AlphaBook
- ---------
- Click F1 or Help\Help to read about AlphaBook.
- AlphaBook saves contents of A to Z and 1 to 3 in 28 RTFs,
- All 28 RTFs are saved in the AlphaBook directory, named Alpha(*).rtf,
- where * is the button names A to Z and 1 to 3.
- e.g: AlphaA.rtf, AlphaZ.rtf, Alpha2.rtf.

- Type any word in the upper text and it will automatically scroll
- to the letters you typed, click Find Next or F3 to find next.
- Click File\Sort Alphabetically to sort text in alphabetic order.
- Click Buttons\Change Button Name, to change buttons 1, 2 and 3.

- AttriBat
- --------
- If you restore a backup from MS-DOS, then files that
- have the Read-Only, Hidden and System attributes will
- not be restored from backup unless you set their attributes
- to Normal.
- That is also true if you use a DOS unzipping software, they have switches
- to restore Hidden, Read Only and System but will not overwrite a
- Read-Only file or folder.
- AttriBat.exe will search the hard drive for files and folders that have
- Read-Only, Hidden and System attributes and make 2 batch files.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in AttriBat for help.

- BlockIt
- -------
- Win95 only.
- BlockIt doesn't work in NT, it can't block the Ctrl+Alt+Del in NT.

- Once activated, it suppose to cover the whole screen including the Task bar.
- Ctrl+Alt+Delete, Alt+Tab and Escape wouldn't work.
- While BlockIt is on, if you restart computer by turning the electric switch
- off then it will come back on and cover screen.
- To be on the safe side, backup registry first because if you got locked
- out then you will not be able to get in unless you delete the Lockit.dat in
- the BlockIt directory from the Command Prompt Only or restore from
- a Registry backup.

- Once you execute it, double click or right click the gray area and
- select Exit if no password already selected, otherwise you have
- to enter password.
- To block computer you need to enter password, double click
- or right click gray area and select Change password,
- you will be prompted to enter old Password,
- click OK if no old password exist,
- you will be prompted again to enter new password,
- there be sure to right down password and enter it (case sensitive).
- If you forget password then you will be left out unless you restore as
- explained above.
- Suggest to use a simple password to start with.
- If you forgot password, BlockIt will let you in the first 10 uses,
- after three times entering password.

- Don't worry about it as long you know the password or you didn't
- enter any passwords and remember to double click the gray area.
- I would print the above before executing it.

- Calculator
- ----------
- Is a simple Calculator that views calculation in a scrolling window.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in Calculator for help.

- Calendars
- ----------
- There is two calendars supplied, take your pick.
- When browsing other months or years, it doesn't change the computer
- date, contrary to the Calendar supplied with the operating system,
- which could get you in trouble if accidentally it changed the computer
- month or year without noticing it.

- Click on the year or month to select other years or months.

- ChangeRes
- ---------
- Change resolution was made because the old Change resolution found
- in the web doesn't work in Win98.
- To change Video resolution, depends on font used, video card and
- resolution used, a computer restart is not always necessary.
- If you see that ChangeRes requires a restart for every resolution
- change then ChangeRes is not the best one for you to use.
- Look for a different one, each behave differently.

- Color, RGB Color Converter:
- -------------------------
- Read color values.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in Color for help.

- Drive Info
- ----------
- Select from Combo Box to get summary of each drive, drive info supports
- up to 12 hard drives.

- Note: This is a new DrvInfo, old DrvInfo that uses MsChart discontinued,
- MsChart.ocx no longer needed, you can delete it from the Windows\System
- directory if not used by other applications.
- There are two Drive info now:
- - Drive Info 95, is for Win95 that recognizes hard drives less than 2 GB in size.

- - Drive Info 95b+, is for Win95/98/NT that recognizes hard drives larger than 2 GB
- in size.
- One day I will try to combine them together.

- Files Inventory
- --------------
- Files Inventory is made so you can have files in a directory
- saved in a text or printed.

- Simply click browse to the directory, select to list in 2 columns or
- with date and size and click the List Files button.
- Once listed select File\Print or File\Save As to save it in a text.

- IcoView
- -------
- What makes IconView better than any icon viewer is, when you
- click the selected icon it views it in the Taskbar and the
- Systray. Also you can view all icons in a directory.
- Icons looks different if viewed in the Systray, Taskbar selected
- or Taskbar not selected.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in IcoView for help.

- IcView
- ------
- IcView is different from IcoView.
- IcView is a mini single icon viewer,
- select Associate IcViewer from MiniApps in the Startmenu,
- browse to Icview.exe then click Create Association.
- Any time you right click an icon, there will be a View option
- in the context Menu.

- LFN Backup and Restore
- ----------------------
- Unless you know the LFN(long file names) for every SFN (short file name),
- its impossible to guess what the original Long file name is unless
- you have a backup that have stored both DOS SFN and Windows LFN
- of each file and directory, also knows what the original path, then it can
- be restored from backup to the original path by renaming the SFN to LFN.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in LFN for help.

- Make Shortcut
- ------------
- It makes shortcuts to programs anywhere.
- Shortcut recognizes non English installed Win95/98/NT operating
- system and makes shortcut to them.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in Make Shortcut for help.

- Move
- ---
- Don't under estimate this little utility, it moves large folders,
- mutli files and folders.
- When you installed MiniApps, it copied a Move.exe shortcut to the
- Windows\Sendto folder.
- (Windows\Sendto is in English, MiniApps Setup will detect name in all other languages and place Move shortcut to it).

- Any time you want to move a file(s) or folder(s),
- select file(s) or folder(s) and right click them, select Sendto and select Move from Menu.
- There you can select to move selected files or folders or just copy only.
- Also there is an option to make a new directory.

- If you have Win98 or IE40 installed, you can use Move to manipulate
- the StartMenu, right click any item in the StartMenu, select SendTo then Move.
- In Move, browse to the destination directory, it has to appear in the
- To window.

- MyNotes and MyNotes Lite
- -------------------------
- MyNotes, MyNotesL and MyNotes Lite.
- MyNotes have 15 pages to save notes in, MyNotesL opens the first
- two pages of MyNotes for quick open.

- MyNotes Lite is a lite version independent on its own, have two note pages
- to save notes in.

- OCX Fix

- To be used if you get errors that the OCX is not registered correctly.

- Click Open, to browse and open any program you like.

- Opens any folder.

- US Area and International calling codes
- Type any state name or area code number in the upper left window
- and it will scroll down to the country or area code of that state.
- Click the Country button, type any of the World's country name or
- country number in the upper left window and it will scroll to the country.

- Sort Lines Alphabetically
- ------------------------
- Sorts text lines alphabetically
- Click Help\Help or F1 in AlphaSort for help.

- SubInfo
- --------
- Stays on top and saves all your personal, shareware or company info.
- It saves you from having to type info every time with the possibility of
- making mistakes.
- Once you have entered all information in SubInfo, clicking the button
- copies the content of the corresponding text to the clipboard,
- all you have to do is paste it in the submission form.
- Click Help\Help or F1 in SubInfo for help.

- Resources and Swap file Meter(RSFM)
- ----------------------------------
- Resources Monitor, Clock and a Calendar (RM)
- -------------------------------------------
- You can get rid of the clock in the Systray using the Resources
- Monitor. RM is a very small utility, sets OnTop viewing the
- time and monitor resources.

- RSFM shows free System, User and GDI resources, gages will turn
- yellow if free resources becomes less than 34% and
- turn red if drops below 16%.
- Also shows SwapFile usage which is the percentage of the swap file
-
- Win386.swp size compared to the free hard disk space the file is located in.
- Shows size of the Win386.swp file and the percentage of the free
- drive space.
- Right click Resource Meter and select Help for more info.

- Stay On Top
- -----------
- Click Options\Release Stay On Top to release from being on Top.
- Click Options\Double vertical to view two vertical pages.
- Click Options\Double horizontal to view two horizontal pages.
- Click Options\Single page to view a single page, it will retain

- text in the hidden text window until you clear it.
- Click Options\Insert line marker or Options\Remove line marker.

- "Open to Page 1" or "Save As Page 1"
- Opens and saves Text or RTF files to the first text window which is the
- main page, the top one if showing two horizontal pages and the left one
- if showing two vertical pages.

- "Open to Page 2" or "Save As Page 2"
- Opens or saves Text or RTF files to the second text window which is the
- secondary page, the bottom one if showing two horizontal pages and the
- right one if showing two vertical pages.
